Get ready for Victoria's newest signature event and largest free festival, Tejas Fest! Taking place October 4-5, 2024 in the beautifully renovated De Leon Plaza, catch some of the biggest stars in Tejano and Texas Country music take the stage on the new performance pavilion.
Honoring the legacies of previous Victoria events like Armadillo Fest and Bootfest, Tejas Fest is poised to bring a whole new tradition to Victoria, Texas! Our live music lineup for this inaugural event is sure to knock it out of the park, with legends of the Country and Tejano music scenes like festival headliner Josh Abbott Band, Chris Cagle, and Bobby Pulido!
But Tejas Fest is about more than just the incredible music! Looking to do a little shopping? The Tejas Fest Market, organized by Mother Cluckers Downtown and featuring dozens of local vendors, is going to be absolutely loaded with unique finds, great gift ideas, and more. Are you a a car nut? See some of the coolest rides around at the Bikes, Trikes & Power Wheels Car Show happening on Saturday, October 5. If you're a cornhole player and looking to scratch that competitive itch, sign up for the Cornhole Throwdown, presented by Crossroads Cornhole. Shoot your shot to take home the top prize and all bragging rights at the tournament on Saturday, October 5.
That's just a start to all the fun for the whole family at Tejas Fest 2024! The kid's corral will be open on both days of the festival, and features 11 fun inflatables all for free. On Saturday, cheer own your favorite critters at the armadillo races, watch an entertaining display of wrestling talent at the Lucha Libre performance, and be wowed by the amazing skills of trick roper Kevin Fitzpatrick. We'll also have a huge petting zoo complete with animals you won't see everywhere, like camels! Make a lasting memory too with the free photo booth!
What's a community festival without a little friendly competition? Enter into the tamale-eating contest or margarita contest for your chance to win cash prizes and take the crown as a true Tejas Fest champ!
As for music, our Main Stage isn't the only place you'll hear some great tunes! The Mother Cluckers stage, conveniently located in the kids' corral, will feature a number of incredibly talented local musicians playing a variety of genres on Saturday, October 5. There will even be a few performances for the kids by magician John O'Bryant, a captivating performance by VISD Ballet Folklorico, and a traveling mariachi by Mariachi Nuevo Victoria.
